To prevent tangles and snarls:

When washing hair, gently massage the shampoo into the scalp and through the hair; do not vigorously lather the shampoo.

Use a moisturizing conditioner and always comb the conditioner through. Let the conditioner soak into the hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing. We recommend Fairy Tales, Original Sprout, or Circle of Friends.

Wash and condition your hair regularly. Dirt and styling products accumulating on your hair can lead to tangles.

After washing and conditioning, make sure to towel dry the hair gently, do not move the towel back and forth through the hair.

Do not use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner product. The conditioner in these types of products is not as effective as a stand-alone conditioner. We suggest Fairy Tales, Original Sprout, or Circle of Friends Shampoo along with Detangling or Leave-in Conditioner.

Older children should use an adult shampoo and conditioner with added moisture, such as Moroccan Oil.

For children with long hair, sleep with a loose braid in at night.

Use a wide-tooth comb: When brushing hair, start brushing/combing at the very ends of the nose and slowly work your way up to the scalp one small section at a time.
